1. Project Delivery Manager

Job Description

  • Job title Project Delivery Manager
  • Location Various Sites 
  • Department Customer Services Team
  • Reporting to Divisional Director
  • Hours 37.5 hours a week

Purpose and objectives of the role

  1. Manage energy efficient projects from start to finish ensuring that they are completed within timeframe and budget.
  2. Optimise project profitability by making best use of all human resources, effective scheduling and cost effective sourcing

Main duties and responsibilities

To manage the end to end delivery of all projects:

  • Oversee projects from start through to completion, ensuring that our work delivers to the client the energy savings projects on time and within budget.
  • Complete site surveys, as and when required.
  • Regular visits to client sites and pre-start and handover meetings ensuring that client is satisfied throughout project.
  • Maximise profitability by challenging costs, reviewing working patterns and helping to ensure installation staff are motivated and efficiently utilised.
  • Ensure that teams are working to current Health & Safety legislations and abide by the rules laid out in the Company’s Health & Safety policy.
  • Deal with customer service issues and ensure snagging is resolved on a timely and cost effective basis.
  • Ensure that teams are fulfilling monthly KPI’s.
  • Analyse of productivity and project finances to management team.
  • Ensure that the project planner is kept up to date and that the engineers’ time is optimised to achieve the best project margin.

Project/Practice Related CompetenciesProject/Practice Management:

  • Manage the strategic aspects of large engagements and mitigate any risk.
  • Ensure engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures take place for all practice engagements.

Project Accounting:

  • Report profit and loss figures.
  • Consolidate and analyse profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilisation across practice.
  • Help create pipeline forecasts and broad-based financial picture for practice.
  • Ensure practice meets or exceeds budgeted financial objectives, including revenue and margin.
  • Regular client reviews

2. Site Manager

Job Description

  • Job title Site Manager
  • Location Various Sites – Nationwide
  • Department Delivery Team
  • Reporting to Divisional Director
  • Hours 37.5 hours a week

Purpose and objectives of the role

Field based manager to provide end to end co-ordination of energy efficient projects through leadership of a team of field based installers and subcontractors, to ensure that installations are completed within a set timeframe and budget whilst maintaining high standards.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Completion of site surveys prior to works commencing.
  • Manage teams of engineers and subcontractors carrying out installations of energy efficient products with responsibility for:
    • Full adherence to Company procedures, project RAMS and any client specific requirements especially where related to working practices and Health and Safety. In this regard it is your responsibility to ensure you are fully aware of all relevant processes, methods and procedures.
    • Installation to plan
    • Stock control and monitoring
    • Communication of stock count and installation numbers to the Project Co-ordinator/Delivery Manager
    • Communication of regular project updates to the Client/Delivery Manager/Project Co-ordinator
    • Ensuring unused stock is stored and returned in saleable condition
    • Reconciliation of stock supplied/stock installed/stock returned.
    • Promoting a positive and professional attitude, ensuring all engineers and subcontractors are motivated and efficiently utilised when on site
    • Ensuring that the team are working to a safe system of work in line with Energys’ Health & Safety Policy and Installation Methodology
    • Ensuring that a toolbox talk is completed every morning and liaising with the team regarding any health & safety issues and site specific requirements including RAMS
    • Ensuring job paperwork is produced and completed to a high standard and submitted in full at the end of a project
    • Ensuring that all tools, equipment and vehicles are available when required, fit for use and well maintained.
    • Advising the client regarding the progress of works ensuring that the customer is satisfied with our work throughout the installation
    • Delivery to time and budget taking remedial action where necessary
    • Full handover of project from Account Manager/Project Delivery Manager/Project Coordinator and ensure work installed and stock figures match
    • Responsible to Technical Manager to adhere to all Energys standard of compliance with all relevant safety and compliance legislation
  • Responsibility of van and van stock ensuring weekly vehicle checks are conducted
  • Quality of work of team
  • To work nationwide with a requirement for some mid-week overnight stopsEnsure that thorough site surveys are conducted and that site information is accurately recorded
  • Undertake regular visits to client sites and attend pre-start / handover meetings ensuring customer satisfaction throughout every project
  • Undertake any other duties which may be reasonably required by the company

Skills

  • City and Guilds BS7671 – 18th Edition, desirable
  • City and Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 – Test & Inspect, desirable
  • First Aid
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic team player
    Experience
  • At least 2 years in a similar role with site management experience
  • Experience of working in a role with a heavy emphasis on accurate planning and attention to detail
