53% of the school’s annual energy consumption now met by clean, self-generated solar energy
Prudhoe Community High School is based in Northumberland and forms part of the Cheviot Learning Trust. As part of the Trust’s wider commitment to reducing energy consumption and progressing towards net zero, the school engaged Energys Group to deliver a large-scale Solar PV project.
Building on Energys’ previous experience delivering Solar PV and lighting projects across 10 other schools within the Trust, the project involved the installation of a 666-panel SolarEdge system designed around the school’s daily energy demand. The system is expected to generate 268.79 MWh of clean energy annually, with 53% of the school’s annual consumption now met through self-generated solar power.
