Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust

Bishop Bewick CET is a community of 39 Catholic schools in Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland and although it works as one Trust, all of its schools maintain their individuality, uniqueness and a great deal of autonomy.

Energys was successful in a competitive tender bid for 3 schools in March 2022 through YPO. The ‘put customer first’ approach and demonstrable understanding of their needs impressed the Buildings Management team, and our environmental credentials underpinned the quality of solutions recommended for the project. Amongst the primary objectives, the DAT team was keen to minimise energy usage whilst achieving the highest possible RoI both in the short and long-term. The Bishop Bewick team were highly satisfied with the delivery of the first 3 schools and this resulted in being selected to replicate the LED Lighting upgrades at 19 further sites with similar solutions.
